Dear Learn to Skate USA Families,

By taking part in the winter session, your skater is eligible to take part in Sioux Falls Figure Skating Club’s Spring Show. With this years’ theme, “A Night on Broadway,” skaters will perform to a large variety of music, so please register soon, so our skater can take the stage and join us in the spotlight, for this show-stopping, opening night. Skaters will bring these to life
on the ice! The annual Spring Show is the primary fundraiser for the SFFSC and is a ton of fun for the skaters who participate! Skaters of all ages will be included in group numbers - determined by both age and skating level -- that feature the skills they have been learning. The programs will be taught during special practice sessions, all built around our regular LTS class days and times. See below for rehearsal days, times, and assigned levels.  Every family will have the option to pick Monday or Wednesday as their rehearsal date.  For those signing up for a second number, we request second show numbers skaters come in on Saturday mornings, in addition to their first group number day.

The SFFSC tries to keep cost down by fundraising, through shows ads, raffles, ticket sales, concessions, etc. Because this is such a big event, parents of all skaters will be expected to volunteer in some capacity during ONE of the shows. There are a variety of possible jobs, including ticket takers, locker room mom, raffles sales, etc. during the shows; there is also ways to help in advance, such as designing and building sets and decoration. There more hands on deck, the netter the
production will be! There will be show t-shirt available, commemorative recordings of the show, pictures, programs and more. All kids of details will be made available later to the families who sign up. The show packet you will receive in March, if you sign up your skater, may seem overwhelming, but it will contain most of the information you need as a new show parent. If your question isn’t answered, please do not hesitate to ask! Registration for Learn to Skate participants is March 15, 2019. However, if your skater is registered for two numbers, their second show number practices will begin March 9th!

Let’s get this show on the road and let these skaters, strut their stuff. We hope you’ll join us....at “A Night on Broadway”!

Sincerely,
Kelly Anderson
